Privacy Policy

Jam Taco is operated by Encore Works Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Encore Works," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Jam Taco app and any related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and, depending on your choice during sign-in, your email address or a private relay address provided by Apple. We also collect the username you choose within the app.

Content you create. This includes the shows you log (artist, venue, date), any notes you write, any photo you attach to a show, and any rating you give a show. This content is yours — we store it so the app can show it back to you and to power your personal stats.

Friend connections. If you use the Friends feature, we store the connection between your account and the accounts of people you've added, along with the status of that connection (pending or accepted).

We do not currently use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services. We may use such services in the future to help us understand app performance and improve the experience; if so, this policy will be updated to reflect it.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to operate the core functionality of the app, enable the Friends feature, communicate with you about your account if needed, and maintain the security and integrity of the service.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not use your data for advertising.

What Friends Can See

If another user sends you a friend request and you accept it, that person can see: your total shows logged, your stats (such as most-seen artist and Most Heard Songs), and your basic show list (artist, venue, and date only).

Friends cannot see your personal notes or photos. Those remain private to your account regardless of friendship status.

Third-Party Services

setlist.fm. When you search for an artist, venue, or show, that search is sent to the setlist.fm API to retrieve setlist and show data. We do not send your personal account information to setlist.fm as part of these requests — only the search terms you enter. Setlist data displayed in the app is provided by setlist.fm and used in accordance with their terms.

Apple. Sign in with Apple is provided by Apple Inc. and governed by Apple's own privacy practices in addition to ours.

Service providers. Your account and content data is stored and processed using cloud infrastructure and other service providers who act on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it. We may engage additional or different service providers over time as the app grows.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual shows, notes, or photos at any time within the app. If you want your entire account and all associated data deleted, contact us at hello@jamtaco.com and we will process your request within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain certain records by law.

Children's Privacy

Jam Taco is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we've collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect.
